Oh well, finally today is the last day of July. Still in time to note down my July happenings. Start with an accident to my car. It was finally fixed last weekend, after a month wait as the accident occured on 2nd July. Had to go through some rough sessions with the service centre people to get things done. Kinda upset over thier service. Move on, I hit my head against my dad's car boots' steel hook while putting things in. Severe pain and had dizziness for the next few days and couple of days back saw a bump and felt painful. So, not sure that bump is resulted from the concussion or pimples :) Plan to leave it aside and monitor for the next few days.
When one is in 17th floor down the Hell's Gate luck, it is superbly scary. Why?! Because I cut my forehead against my own car boots' compartment. A big gash and deeply worried will leave a scar behind. For now, the bruise area's skin has dried up. So, will see how bad the cut will leave me behind. I even got cuts on my thumb from removing seal from mosquito repellent container.
How funny right? All happened in 1 month. I plan to move on and I hope I will have better lucks and days ahead. Oh August, please cleanse away my bad luck and protect me from now on!!

My Baby's Progress
Aloha! Half of June has passed..half year is almost gone in year 2012. My baby is now 1.5 yrs old. He is very active and kind of smart too. Start can interact with him. So is getting better now comparatively to when he was much younger. Smart as in, he knows quite a few things and can understand as well. Educating kicks in now as he shows sign of temperamental behaviour. Still not letting him walks by himself as he runs all the time and trips most of the time too. I do not understand why he loves to run instead of walking slowly.
Yesterday, brought him to Toys R Us to play awhile then to Cold Storage to sit on the trolley and let him touch cold items at the fruits/vege section then carried him walked awhile before went for a short drive before back home. Just him and I. So far so good. Will do it again this week. Hopefully manageable. He finds balloon fascinating and best part is he recognizes quite a few things already. Give him 3 different kind of books, he can point dog and said it correctly. Now into balloon picture but he still cannot say the word yet. Outside on the go, he will point at things and make sound to let you know eventhough he does not say the word yet. But, when you said the word, he knows.
He picks up sayang gesture recently, he will sayang me all the time :) which is kinda fun :) He picks up yawning from daddy - yawn with sigh-ing sound! Next Monday will be jab day for him, hope doc visit is pleasant. Last visit he was a goodboy. I hope from now on he shows good behaviour during doc visit instead of kicking up a fuss and crying out loud.
People around me is getting pregnant. In fact, many people are pregnant this year either deliver by this year or next. I am so happy for them. Many are having girls :) God bless to everyone!

May is a Horrible Month
The endless ensuing "bungalows" that Ced keeps building..hehe..May 1st was his 1st followed by 14th, a not severe hit on wooden table and then again on 15th, a severe hit on cement floor - all 3 the same spot at his middle forehead :((. That is not all, he became "Superman" on 20th from bed to wooden floor - head down 1st!! gosh!! The 4th blueblack slightly left from middle forehead.
This month also a month where Ced is crankier than usual. Refusing milk these few days but eating his porridge, cereal, biscuits, practically anything except sucking his milk. Therefore, we have to spoonfeed him, at least he drinks by that way. Funny is, he is very fond of sucking water from bottle. He can bottle down several bottles of 4 ounces of plain water a day.
He fell sick a week ago. Down with fever due to throat infection. Lasted 3-4 days with fever on and off. Paed prescribed only paracetamol and re-liv mouthdrops and said will only give Ced antibiotics if his fever is not away by 4th day. Thank God!! He recovered from fever on the 4th day but the throat infection was not recovered totally yet. Then now, he is having flu and cough. Apart from that, he is into habit of putting his entire fist into his mouth and eventually causing him to vomit. At times he seems uncomfy with his inner mouth which I do not know why but since paed had seen his mouth before, I suppose he is going to get his new molar teeth soon. Another sign that he may be growing teeth is he drools alot.
I am super duper tired. I just hope good days will come for Cedric. I pray for his recovery and good health ahead! God if you hear me, please bless Cedric with better days ahead. I will deeply appreciate your blessings :) Thank you :)

Cedric Got His 1st "Bungalow"
On labour day - 1st May 2012..Ced got his 1st "bungalow". Yup, not a real bungalow but got a bump on his forehead. Brought him to see paed on that public holiday which was charged double. Luckily, nothing major and was told to monitor him for symptoms such as vomit or tired or not his usual self - these are signs for potential skull crack or damage to brain. Otherwise, is just superficial injury which will heal by itself without doing anything on it.
Well, i suppose he will fall more often now as he is now walking more steadily compared to previously. Previously, he was afraid of hitting/falling so he was more cautious than now. Meaning, he would walk/stand by holding/grabbing on something and more slower than now. Now, he is running :) To make it worse, he refuses to be held. He is quite an independant boy which comes with pro and con :)
He is getting naughtier and naughtier. And smarter too. But he is not afraid of my scolding or beating. He will repeat improper act again and again. Now, his new habits are to grab my glasses and scratch my face!! Ouch! The only thing he responds to my beating and scolding is CRYING! and then, back to repeating the act. Hhmmpphh...Educating is such a tedious work - especially on a stubborn and naughty boy. On the other hand, he can recognize Gurney Plaza Mall..hehehe...whenever we passby without turning in, he will kick up a fuss :). He will be very delighted when we turn in :) In short, he loves kaikai-ing - just like mommy!! :) He is more responsive and understand things we tell him now.

HFMD & Short Trip
It was quite an eventful month for hub, ah b & me. To start of with, my son got HFMD!! Nope, he is not at school going age yet. He is a home cared toddler. He got it from his cousin, who is a school going boy - who also infected by HFMD a week before I noticed symptoms of it on my son too. Paed confirmed the diagnosis and said Ah B needed to be admitted as HFMD for under 3 yrs old is considered dangerous because it may affect a baby's heart & brain. Thankfully, Ah B recovered fast and he was not cranky at all. He still ate, slept & played as usual. 2 days later, I was infected too!! I was even severed than my son. I was so relieved to use my son's left over oral medication and skin cream. The oral was very effective and recovered fast but the rashes on my skin got worse and worse each day. At the end of 2 weeks, quarantined finally was lifted :)
A week after HFMD episode, hubby and I left for KL trip. A very very short trip. We started our journey at 4am, Saturday and returned at 1pm, sunday. Overnight at The Gardens Hotel & Residences, Mid Valley. Purpose of the trip was to fix a better inter-cooler, carbon fibre roof & skirting and Milltech sport performance exhausts. While hubby fixing the car, I was enjoying my day at Sunway Pyramid Mall - shopping, relaxing at starbucks with hot green tea latte & choco banana cake, popiah and stick ice-cream. We had dinner at Mid Valley mall - nyonya food then headed to Tong Pak Fu desserts shop. On our way back to hotel, we bought McD :) The next morning, we had delicious lunch at a taiwan restaurant at The Gardens before leaving KL.

Finally Ced Doesn't Want Mommy To Go To Work!
Hahaha...that is right! I think I am going to strike jackpot..hehe..1st time ever, Ced cried and jumped up and down when i came to work this morning..Usually, before i left house, he would wave and smile at me..but today is a different scene all together :) I had to admit, he melted my heart away..

Cedric - 15 months
Ced is now 15months old. Another scene at his paediatrician's room again..hehe..He dislikes doc & nurse to touch him, needless to say removing his clothing and pampers to be measured & weighed!! :) Everytime, he will fuss and cry until the jab is finalized. This time, he slapped his paed, grabbing and pulling the measuring tape away and best of all knows how to scold people already..So far, lil kaikai is progressing well and fine - very important to me that he keeps his health healthy!! Thank God for blessing my darling kaikai. Food wise and to keep him on table while mommy & daddy eat is much more easier now as he can share our food. But then, now he has been promoted to toddler title, no longer baby anymore...he is difficult to handle. Sleeps lesser, wants to play when he is not sleeping - and i mean real playing all the time to the extend of refusing to sleep. It is so much tiring now as his hobby now is to crawl & walk to everywhere he wants and to touch anything he is curious about :) He is fast so we need to follow up and is really draining our energy.
Cedric has developed a new temperamental behaviour which is screaming. Oh well, he no longer afraid of my scolding and beating as each time i do, he no longer cries..hehe...in fact, he scolds me in return..not in words but shout..haha...He is a very cranky boy as he wants his way. Refusing or obstructing him means war with him..haha..Denying him on whatever he wants, means end up I have to face his struggling and crying and screaming endlessly..is getting difficult to coax him as he is smarter now.
When he was about 9 mths old, he had flu and cough. Resulting him difficult to sleep during night time. He would wake in the middle of the nights crying. Since then, after he recovered, he still continues to wake in the middle of the nights screaming and crying. Before that, he was a good sleeper throughout the night. But now, it is a nightmare when comes to night time. On better nights, he will only wake once or not severe crying, on bad nights, he will wake a few times a night. I won't have enough rest and sleep too :)
Since he is a colicky child, some elders advice to cut off gassy food for him and to apply medicated oil before sleeps and to give him chinese gas relieve powder. Tried and it seemed to improve a little. He either sleeps throught the night or cries once. Still, not a good sleeper as I can hear him tossing and turning alot. It has been awhile, every night I will give him his milk bottle on my bed and allow him to sleep by himself on my bed. Once he asleeps, will move him to his cot.
Googled some info on night baby crying and downloaded a story titled "How I Behave Today?" - plan to read to him every night before bed while lil kaikai is in his cot. Hope by letting him sleep by himself on his own cot will help him sleeps by himself without crying for mama at night. Hope when April comes, things will improve!!
